BRIDGE COURSE
The suffer safar starts in our beloved chilled (only class with AC) classroom No. 10. The class is full of unknown faces hidden behind the well known masks. Our curiosity was at peak and it was the very first time we saw this many faces which were not on the boxes of the screen. The bridge course programme consisted of topics which were taught previously and will be useful in future were revised. This was a fun start to the journey where we were exploring our path between new faces and old topics. As the bridge course proceeded , New companions joined accordingly. Till the end of bridge course we got a certain batch of people who were to be tagged as our bestie , bro , dudes and what not.
CHAL MALIYE
The other side of the bridge is Chal Maliye - a stand up comedy event organised by code club . This was an introduction to club events. Here we were introduced to the non academic side of college. This was the event where we found content writers , Graphic designers , Marketers and anchors among us . The new side other than the daily 9 to 5 was a fascinating experience. The experience was fun where we discovered our skills , Learnt new things , made mistakes but worked together and achieved our end results . This experience was just a summary of our upcoming engineering life
FOUNDATION COURSE
The next stop of our journey was the foundation course . Foundation course is the biggest programme organised by the university with the aim of overall personality development of students. In this course we have experts from different fields and they share their experiences and guide students for upcoming challenges of life. Foundation course had lectures on various topics ranging from Art, Meditation , Financial management to Road safety and much more. Foundation course was like a sight seeing spot on the road of our engineering degree.
COVID STRIKES AGAIN
Our journey was progressing smoothly and everything was coming on track so our fate once again disturbed by this added a bump to our journey. The bump was Covid. After the foundation course there was a significant rise in the number of cases and so once again it was the “ Am I audible ? ”, “Please keep your mics on mute ”time . At this time our mid sem exams were scheduled , And us being sincere students had prepared for exams with utter honesty and sheer dedication but had to unfortunately give exams online ; ) . After this once again the studies went in hybrid mode . It was also a wonderful experience to come to college at this time as there were only a few of us and empty buildings. We also made new friends with some seniors who also came to echo these empty buildings with us.
FRESHERS
The 2021 batch is what we are famously known as “ The Covid batch ”, Our schedule of events is as shattered as our sleep cycle. So after almost the end of semester we were given the most awaited Freshers party by our seniors. This was such a college-like experience which we have been dreaming of for years . Finally this was a party which didn’t have potato chips, Samosa, piece of cake and kids playing musical chairs and passing the parcel game. It was our kind of party which was much more fun and had interesting activities . The competition to win the title of Mr. and Ms. Fresher was also amazing. It was fun experience for all of us to dance together on the beats of DJ rather than the beats of the Indian education system.
ANANTA'22
Ananta is our best memory of the safar. Ananta was a tech fest which lasted 3 days whose preparation lasted a month and whose memories will last forever. Ananta was truly the essence of our Safar.Ananta was not something we were given , it was something that we made. Teach fests are the most fun part of the year and it became more special for us because it was for the first time we were celebrating our dear college vali zindagi. We started working with colleagues of different years, streams, branches, courses and finished it with friends. If college life is a journey than Ananta is a celebration.
